Undergraduate Figurative Painting Practice

Leah Sims’s early work is an extension of her interest in traditional 2D media and how it is percieved. These initial, large scale studies explore the relationship between image and reality; the viewer and the viewed. The works vary in their physical appearance, from detailed acrylic and oil studies in muted colour to vibrant paint sketches with bold, bright linework.
